For those who do not know me I am dyslexic so please have that in mind when you read this, I am not trying to win any English award I am just trying to share some information trying to help people out.

Kitchen design prices

I have heard of too many people being drawn in by a low-cost kitchen only to find the overall cost is well out of their budget. Yes, you can buy kitchen cabinets for a few grand depending on how many units you require.

To try and help you out with your kitchen I have put this together.

This is based on a kitchen I did summer 2024 to replace Cost of replacing the units, worktop, splashback, sink and taps £5732.82 (excluding installation price)

Cost of mid-range appliances £1400.

Water resistant laminate flooring and underlay and install £1500.

Kitchen installation £2800.

In total you are looking at £11432.82.

As a price comparison to just update the Flooring, doors, worktop and splashback on the existing kitchen the price would be as follows.

This is assuming the doors are an off the shelf size, please be aware the price may be more expensive.

Kitchen doors, handles, new hinges £2442.50

Water resistant laminate flooring and underlay and install £1500.

Door and worktop installation £2068.82

In total you will be looking at about £6011.32

If you wanted to look at the costs further, you could also look at your choice of appliances, worktop and flooring which all makes a difference to the overall cost as well.

I would always recommend you using an Interior designer rather than a sales team from your local kitchen show room, I think the interior designers have more drive to get the design and price perfect to you.
